makeup craziness in Japan

everyone know that the Japanese women are really beautiful, with their flawless face, long legs, slim figure, shiny hair... BUT there's one thing that you should know about them, they are OBSESSED with beauty related stuff! Like seriously fanatic! you can find almost every single woman here in Tokyo dolled up all the time when they are going out. regardless of age and what kind of style they don. be it a 60 year old lady, who still gracefully presented herself with a well body proportion, wearing elegant dresses or suit, great accessories, and HEELS! And I've seen these elderly women going to a wig specialist, finding and getting their hair done. :) And not to forget some girls with Gothic, or a boyish look. they still put makeup on! and not to mention about fake lashes, colored hair etc~

I've also seen a girl, trying to put on her makeup on a congested train, squatting in front of the train's door, struggling putting on her foundation. women doing their eyeshadow, blushes, glosses, are common scene i see every single day. and it's really funny seeing them getting out a big size hand mirror out of their bag. getting their touch ups during meal or in the lavatories during the 10 minutes break between classes.

anyway, to the main topic.. but before that, a confession that i have to make, I'm infected with these viruses these Japanese women carry !! haha~ I'm getting more interested with face, skin and beauty related stuff too. trying to improvise my skin condition and stuff. back in Malaysia, i overlook about how my skin and face condition. truth be told, i NEVER care! but early this year, I've began to find the right skin care, looking through makeup to care and beautify or enhance what God has given to me. then, when I'm here in Japan, it got a little bit hyped up, i became more self conscious on how i look or what other see and think of me. so the craziness starts. HAHA.. boo me!

sorry for the blah2. the main story I'm raving to write here is about how frustrated i am! you know, M.A.C has launched their new Venomous Villains collection. I've seen some review by beauty gurus who actually got their luck for the pre-launch party of the new collection a couple of weeks before. And when i was at the cosmetic department last Monday, i saw these collection on display and giddy up excited for the new collection. i got my hands onto them, only to find out that the sale of the new collection only starts today. so i went to M.A.C counter early this morning at 1030 a.m just to check out the items. Unfortunately for me when i was there, there was actually a LONG line of excited and anxious women, lining up at M.A.C counter to actually buy the new items.

since i have class at 1130 today, i decided not to waste time to line up together with these women and headed to class, expecting to check them out later after class. so after class, i got myself back at the same M.A.C counter at 1800hrs. but to my avail, how frustrated i am to see that ALMOST ALL item were SOLD OUT!!!!!! arghhhh~ can you imagine? 4 new lip glosses, 3 were sold out. 3 beauty powder, ALL sold out, ALL mineralize eyeshadow were sold out. among others sold out were the lip-gel, small eyeshadow, lipglass etc.

can you guys imagine that?? in a matter of 8 hours, almost all the of the items in the new collection were sold out. and i cant imagine how fast the other M.A.C counter at Shinjuku or Harajuku or Ginza. Usually, new collection by M.A.C at the other counters would be sold out faster than the counter i went that i went today, that is the M.A.C counter at Seibu, Ikebukuro. How do these people cope with fashion??? haha~ i just cant believe it! but what made me frustrated even more is that the new M.A.C collection is incorporated with Disney's villain characters, in conjunction with Halloween. so they has Cruella DeVille or other villains' cartoon on the casing. so they are really a collector's treasure! and being me, a sucker for limited edition stuff, I'm in dismay!

but whatever it is, there's a blessing. at least i can save my money right????
but I'm still frustrated! buhbye Cruella DeVille. I'll dream if you tonight...:(
