Fidelity

The opposite word would be infidelity, to be added to your word of the day list.
I've once asked by a salesperson at a hand phone shop, in London last year as to what's my take on Muslim men, being able to marry up to four women. I stuttered, at that point, because I, myself have no idea what to respond. (oh, the guy is a Muslim man, reverted to Islam for a good 6 years at that time)
Honestly, I have no definite answer. But what I know is, I have no power to prohibit my man to not marry another one. ( not that I'm married already, but you get the idea)
Before courting, I had the idea of, "yes, why not? There's a reason why it is allowed in our religion. You can't provide him everything he need, you aren't capable of having a say in the decision making, he's fit to do so. Go ahead."
After courting, my mind still agree, but the heart choose to disagree. Despite the logic of saying yes, the heart just has a mind of its own. And being a normal human being, you have this notion or sense of insecurity, that your territory is being shaken, someone trespassing your own private space.
But hey! It needs two to tango!
And it need a spark for a fire to start.
And polygamy is definitely better, (if not bad for a marriage), than a infidelity. Am I right?
Considering a man, being a man, them checking out a woman's worldly asset, the "ahem2" and the "ehem2" is perfectly normal. Because it's nature. They are programmed that way. Women does it too, sometimes, though not all. And that's when flirting is, in my humble opinion, is considerable, though not to be considered as harmless. Because, if both starts to tango, they will tango.
But what I'm trying to convey is that, it's no harm for a man or woman, to....... Look at the greener grass outside of your house compound, but.. Isn't it better to cherish what u have instead of going out through the gate of your own house and consequently, inviting unwanted strangers to your house?
Who would be comfortable with a stranger rummaging your house?
And because it's unfair to see the matter in one point of view. Let's turn the table. What if I were to be the third party?
The heart definitely has a mind of its own!!! Haha you know you would be a wrecker if you chose to be the third party in ones relationship! But.... Love works in an unfathomable way. No one could really understand how it works. Even Romeo killed himself for his Juliet. It made u think what you do is right.. Even logically it's not. The firing desire does have a big impact in human's judgement. But I believe, being the third party does need a great sacrifices, and bravery to overcome whatever might appear. People's view of you, is somehow tattered. No matter how you try to explain or show you are not the bitch or the wrecker. I salute the second/third/fourth wives. You have to put through a lot of things, hatred of people, to show you are as competent as your predecessor in a lot of ways. Despite that.... You got extra treatment, no? ;) And of course, the love you want from a man.
Hurm.. Thoughts running through during rain rides...
But no matter what.. We are human. There's no right or wrong choice. Everything has its good and bad consequences, just the way u perceive them mould your happiness. :)
